How do you know what is going on on your portal?
Normally you would have a look in your standard DNN's sitelog where you can find a couple of modes that show you the information that is stored in the logfile. But not more than that.
And what does it tells you? Mostly not more than an IP adress, the date and time, and the page that was visited.... And an username in case the visitor is registered and has signed in.
No way to get any information about where your anonimous guests originate from, and in some cases even signed-in users registered an other country/residence than where they actually live.
This is a nuisance for marketeers. One needs to know where the customers come from in order to develop a good marketing plan.
This module retreives the geological data from your guests, based on the IP adress. In most cases this is the geolocation of the ISP, but this tells you a lot more than just the IP adress.
It draws the geo information from an agency and puts it in a table. You can then examine this information for what ever your interest in this data might be.
